The SDG has a
practical dew point range of - 80 degrees c. dew point
which is from less than one part per million of water
vapour, up to the moisture level in room air.
There is much more to the Super-Dew than first meets the
eye. It can be connected by ordinary t/v cable, to a
Shaw moisture sensor, from a remote site up to half a
mile distant. Simple, compact and reliable, it is used
world wide, for spot checks or continuous moisture
indication in still or flowing air or gas. Two alarm or
control settings are easily set by the user and provide
instant alarms on the large LCD illuminated back lit
dial and on the green and red signal lamps. As the
reading is specific to water vapour, calibration is
accurate for different gases. Flow rate has no effect on
the accurate measurement.
Shaw modified molecular sieve moisture sensors connected
to meter have 100 times the dry capacitance of other
moisture sensors and an accuracy of better than one part
per million moisture in very dry air or gas. They are
gold plated with gold filters, 20 years life, and a two
ready for spot checks or continuous use, this battery
powered hygrometer indicates both dew point temperatures
and water vapour to less than one part per million, on
the large meter dial. As the reading is specific to
water vapour, calibration is accurate for different
gases. Accuracy is guaranteed to better than one part in
a million of moisture in very dry air or gas.
The self extending head allows up to 20 litres a minute
flow for clearing the air supply pipe work without
wetting the test chamber. Note the absence of knobs,
calibrating, cooling, and servicing as required by some
other methods, and the automatic dry down measuring head
which ensures quick response from the sensor.
The heart of the meter is a Shaw molecular sieve
moisture sensor with a gold internal filter and gold
plated exterior, a jewel of a sensor in fact with a
rapid one second response time from dry to wet.(99%)
Flow rate has no effect on the accurate measurement. So
simple to use, blocking the outlet with a finger for a
moment raises the measurement head.

Meters Model SDT is a compact, 2 wire, 4-20 mA dewpoint
transmitter designed to meet the demands of tough
industrial applications. The unit is fully self
contained within a robust 316 grade stainless steel
casing providing weatherproof protection to IP66 /
Utilising the industry standard, Ultra High Capacitance
Shaw Moisture Sensor, various dewpoint ranges are
available covering an overall range from -120ºC to +20ºC
Dewpoint. The 4-20 mA output is configurable in °C
Dewpoint, °F Dewpoint, ppm(v), g/m3 and lbs/MMSCF.
Weighing in at only 175g, the Model SDT is light enough
to be supported by its’ connection direct into the
pipeline or can be placed in a dedicated sample cell.
Incorporating advanced electronics, the Model SDT can
derive its power from 7-28V dc non-isolated power source
and is configured to output a linear, isolated, 4-20 mA
signal for distances up to 1000 meters.

Honorary Professor Leonard Shaw, this miniature match
box size meter is simple, reliable and accurate, with a
clear display of the dew point of moisture from parts
per billion to room air. It contains a five year life
lithium cell for instant accurate readings in regular
use, or during mains power failures.
It can be used either from a vest pocket, or connected
by ordinary t/v cable, up to a half mile distant from
its moisture sensor, for continuous use or for spot
checks. With instant user checking by Shaw Automatic
calibration, the guaranteed accuracy of better than one
part per million moisture, in very dry air, is simply
unique, as the sensor has a large micro farad
capacitance, unlike contemporary sensors which have a
small capacitance and need electronic amplifiers and
special connecting cables.
The sensor, which is gold plated, has a pure gold
internal filter and can be easily detached from the
meter. In still or flowing air or gas no corrections are
needed for the flow rates or for a different gas, as the
sensor is specific to water vapour.
With the wide range of minus 80 to 0 C. dew point, the
performance of this new pocket hygrometer is far ahead
of contemporary hygrometer technology.
The SU4 will reduce
the pressure from the dryer to give a flow suitable for
measurement. It combines a pressure reduction control,
sensor holder and a flow meter for up to 10 litres per
minute. (1-2 litre is usual for continuous use).
Moisture measurement under pressure will not give the
correct answer but room pressure used in the SU4 will
