− Features

Controlled Force Range up to 50 N (static and dynamic)

Our material testing system is designed for precision measurements on very stiff samples with a controlled force range, both static and dynamic, of up to 50 N. The full resolution is available throughout the entire force range, resulting in precise and reliable data.

Temperatures of up to 800°C on the Sample

Featuring the broadest temperature range of -170°C to 800°C and homogeneous temperature distribution.

Time Saving ‒ Fast Heating and Cooling

With its thin-walled 3D-printed silicon carbide furnace lining, our system reduces waiting times with fast heating and cooling and allows for homogeneous temperature distribution due to two independent temperature control loops.

Instant access to important information ‒ Color info display and LED status bar

The integrated LED status bar keeps you informed with regard to the course of the measurement as well as the force, frequency and temperature used.

Back-friendly – highly ergonomic design

The height of the sample holder area can be adjusted, allowing ergonomic work regardless of the user’s height or preference for standing or sitting.

Easy on the eyes – Illuminated sample holder area

The integrated light source provides additional illumination and makes specimen and sample holder exchange even more comfortable

Intuitive and tool-less. No more cumbersome exchanging of sample holders and specimens

The instrument allows for convenient switching between a variety of sample holders. It auto-detects sample holders and chooses the correct calibration. The exchange is tool-free and, thanks to fixed guides, sample holders are easy to install.

Excellence in Sample Handling

NETZSCH offers a wide variety of sample holders for its DMA 303 Eplexor®. This results in optimal adaptation of the test conditions to the sample size and stiffness, as well as to the application. For example, a different sample holder is needed to measure a thin polymer film versus a stiff material such as a fiber-reinforced composite.

The RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology automatically detects the frame and probe employed and selects the correct calibration in the software.

Proteus Software

The latest Proteus dynamic mechanical analysis software features a clean and easy-to-use graphic user interface that makes it comfortable to navigate and work with the software to its full potential. It saves time by allowing recent measurements to be opened or rerun with ease. It offers predefined templates to help you start new measurements quickly and efficiently. Available templates are designed to meet a range of testing needs and can be customized to suit your specific requirements. The manual control mode grants direct access to static and dynamic load, temperature, and gases. Accurate and reliable results are achieved through calibration routines, which can be carried out by an operator without the need for any external service. During a running measurement, data is represented as an on-line graph with freely configurable axis, or additionally as a list of signals. After the experiment is completed, the data is loaded into the Proteus analysis software, where extensive evaluation tools are available.

AutoEvaluation

AutoEvaluation, a self-acting evaluation routine for DSC/DMA curves, was designed to evaluate onset temperatures in E‘, peak temperatures in E‘‘, and tan δ for glass transitions fully autonomously and without user intervention. In addition to its autonomous functionality, the evaluation results that it generates can be taken by experienced users as a second opinion. With AutoEvaluation, you can modify or add calculations of values for the most precise results possible.

Identify

Identify allows for the identification and classification of measurements through database comparison. In addition to one-on-one comparisons, Identify can also check whether a particular curve belongs to a certain class. These classes can consist of curves of the same material type (material identification) or of reference curves for Pass/Fail testing (quality control). This feature makes it easy to identify materials and to meet quality control standards.

Proteus Search Engine

When working with measurement and evaluation data for different materials and different measurement setups, it is enormously helpful to be able to sort data by certain criteria. Proteus Search Engine automatically synchronizes your measurement data with pre-defined directories and filters it in a matter of seconds. Previews of measurement curves or analysis statuses are available with just one click.

Users are able to create individual searches, for example “MyPolymers”, and switch easily between different existing searches. This makes Proteus Search Engine a very powerful data mining tool.
